How to make Healthy Sausage Balls for your Dog, Gobble Gobble Goodies
I LOVE to make SPICY Sausage Balls. It is a tradition for me to make these on Thanksgiving and Christmas morning at my home. I look forward to these delicious treats every year but these are not treats I can share with my dog. I decided to create a fun take on regular Sausage Balls using a healthy flour choice and ground turkey! If you want a copy of this recipe to save, make sure you get access to our resource library!
These Gobble Gobble goodies turned out DELICIOUS! My pack gobbled them ups SUPER FAST! Since I used the pawTree Gourmet Baking Mix as the base they were a sweet and savory treat, but you could easily substitute Oat Flour. I hope you enjoy and SHARE!
Gobble Gobble Goodies
Equipment
- Stove Top
- Oven
Ingredients
- 1 Package pawTreats Gourmet Baking Mix (Snickerdoodle) You can Substitute 1 1/2 c of Oat Flour
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar
- 2 Ounces Cream Cheese softened
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Instructions
- Gather Ingredients and Preheat Oven to 350
- Brown the ground Turkey with 1 tbsp. of Parsley
- Mix the Baking Mix (or flour), Cream Cheese, Cheese, baking soda, remaining Parsley in a large bowl until mixed
- Add browned Ground Turkey and mix well to form a dough
- Create 1 inch balls and place on baking pan
- Fetch a pre-test pooch
- Bake for about 15 minutes until brown
- After cooling, send to the Lab for testing
