It’s no secret that I love to create! I have always considered myself a creative person. I love writing, singing, sewing, crafting, photography, graphic design and so many other creative outlets. After studying Human Design, I realize that so much of my creativity comes from my 41-30 channel. It is considered the channel of imagination. It is often driving me to push toward NEW experiences and I can do this by tapping into to my creativity. The other piece of the puzzle, I am designed to share my experiences with the world which totally makes sense considering I love to share through my blog.
Recently, I have found my love of creating in the kitchen. I have always loved to bake, but while teaching, I was often to exhausted or overwhelmed to find time to step into the kitchen. This summer I have been very blessed to have time to start creating in the kitchen again. At first I started by trying to duplicate our beloved family recipe for the Hoe Cake.
Once I mastered the basic recipe, I was inspired to create fun variations of it from sweet to savory. So far I have already created 8 new amazing Hoe Cake recipes that have been surprisingly delicious.
I realized this was a great opportunity for me to share! I decided to take some time to cook through some of my favorite Southern Recipes and share them with my virtual family. Most people don’t have time to try to test out recipes, so I am giving you an opportunity to just jump on board with me and join me on my Southern Cooking Journey!

I will be creating Southern Food for my pups as well! One of my first dishes will be creating a healthy version of my Hoe Cake for pups. I am sure they will be topped off with my Favorite Super Food Seasonings!
