Easter is fast approaching. For families with kids, it means big family dinners and Easter Egg hunts. As a dog mom, I love to enjoy holidays with my dogs. I have several great Easter memories as a dog mom.
About 5 years ago, we created our very own Easter Egg hunt for our dogs. We bought several packs of standard plastic Easter eggs and filled them with raw meat. We hid them in our back yard and created a fun Easter egg hunt for our fur babies. Last year, Biscuit loved this toy!
In 2017, we attended a local Dog Mom Easter egg hunt. It was great fun. We took our sweet girl Jumbaco to PetsMart for a photo and then to the hunt. She collected a huge basket of eggs and won a few great prizes.
This year, due to Social Distancing, there are no fun Dog Mom Easter egg hunts to attend, but we did find a great event we will be supporting. The Easter Bone Hunt & Carnival Staycation. The Spay /Neuter network is replacing their in person Easter egg with this fun backyard bone home. The bone hunt box is $20 and includes:
- Handmade pet treats from Empire Baking Company
- Salmon skin jerky treats from 20 Feet Seafood Joint
- A Spay Neuter tennis ball
- A dog or cat toy
- Redpaw dog food
- AND When you order an Easter Box, you will also be automatically entered to win one of the prizes donated to our raffle, including a $160 Sleepypod mobile pet bed, a sailing trip on White Rock Lake with the Corinthian Sailing Club, a Cooler Dog Vest & Collar and more.
The best part is that proceeds go to support Spay Neuter Networkβs three nonprofit clinics, which spay, neuter, vaccinate and/or microchip more than 50,000 dogs and cats a year. Build memories with YOUR pets and help save the lives of others. Don’t have Facebook, get your tickets here by April 3rd.
