How I found inspiration in the most likely place

August 6, 2021 by Pawsitive Dog Mom

OH MY DOG, I am so inspired! SO INSPIRED! It feels to be inspired. I have to admit that as much as I have LOVED having time off to rest this summer, I have been spending each day without inspiration. I have been bored. For me, as a projector, I LOVE to be full of passion and inspiration – I have been just lost without it and I wasn’t sure exactly how to get back my fire.

So – If you are still reading this, it means you are a bit curious how I found my mojo…. So – What changed? Well, I changed, but I also took a chance on opening myself back up to opportunity that was right in front of me. If you follow me at all, you know I have a pet health and wellness business with pawTree.

Although I had an amazing first 6 months with pawTree, I disconnected from my business in January because I was EXHAUSTED with school and I just didn’t have the energy for one more thing.

At the time I had just hit the BIGGEST goal I had ever set for myself, VP with pawTree and earning the ALL expenses trip to Alaska. You would think that I would be inspired and motivated to push forward, but that just wasn’t the case. One amazing thing that I have learned about myself is that if I am not plugged into people that are passionate and inspired, I tend to lose focus.

As a projector, I NEED their energy as much as they need my inspiration! Instead of staying involved with my team and peers, I just decided to disconnect. By this summer, I no longer felt connected, inspired to continue on my journey. I had almost completely walked away…..

YOU know life has a funny way to bring us back to what we need. One of my friends on a different team continued to invite me to go to our annual conference so despite the fact I wasn’t really motivated, I purchased tickets to the event. I continued to put off committing to go until the Monday before the event when she asked me one more time to go and I decided to give it a go.

Clearly it was my invitation to go so I thought I would give it a shot despite the fact I was concerned it was going to be a waste of time and money. I didn’t have any of my team going in person and to be honest, I didn’t have the extra $$ to spend, but I figured it could be worth the risks.

By the end of the weekend, I had met a new group of people that were just my Unicorns, and loved me exactly as I am. They SAW me for ME and I felt recognized. I had laughed, cried, watched inspired speakers and even broke a VERY Thick Board with my bare hands! On the back of the board I broke through the LIE that I can not support my family with my business!

What an amazing experience breaking a board and pushing past negative beliefs that hold me back! When I walked up to break that board – there was never one thought that entered my head that I couldn’t do it!

By the end of the weekend, I had plugged back in with the company that I love so much and realized that I have made an impact not only on pets around me but on people to. Impact was the entire reason I decided to be a teacher – I just want a chance to make a positive impact on people. I had completely forgotten that I WAS making an impact – EVERYDAY, just not how I had expected!

I think the moment that sealed the deal was when I had my book signed by our speaker and board breaking coach, Brian Biro. He was an amazing speaker and such an inspiration. Make sure you take a minute to check him out! We had been provided one of his books in our swag bag, It’s Time for Joy and if we signed up for his special pawTree program, we received The ROI of Kindness. After signing up for the program we received our ROI of Kindness and had an opportunity to have it signed by Brian. Not wanting to miss out on this opportunity, I grabbed my book and had a chance to thank him and get his signature.

After coming back to my table, I looked at several of my peers books that had been signed then opened mine to read, Keely – You are a light. My new Unicorn friend peeked over my shoulder and said YES – YOU are such a light!

I realized in that moment that I was in the right place – I have continued to ask God for signs to show me my direction. I remembered back just a week ago during my HD Reading that my coach said – You are a light everywhere you go.

Then I remembered my HD incarnation cross – “You are a natural bringer of light who brightens the pathways to those who are lost or downhearted. You remind people that darkness is just an absence of light and that if you just persevere you will find the light”. I had thoughts of my mother, calling me Sunshine. There was no coincidence. This was my BEAMING Bright SHINING LIGHT SIGN!

I realized that me just being me – doing something I love, making an impact on people and pets is exactly where I need to be right now. I felt so blessed to have received the invite, taken the risk to go to the event, and received the sign! When I woke up on Monday after the conference, it was the first day I was excited and inspired again!

I set my goal to re-rank as VP and to replace half of my teaching salary by October and got to work. But what was I going to do with what was left in July. I had just over a week left in my month to make something happen so I was going to give it my best.

I am here to tell you I absolutely KILLED IT! In one week, I had hit my rank of VP for the first time in 6 months, made half my teaching salary and was completely back in the game! The goals I had set for October, I hit in July in one week. I learned how important it was to surround yourself with people that SEE YOU – and to not even bother with the rest.

I learned that I NEEDED people in my life to be successful. I learned that I loved having the opportunity on people in my world even in unexpected ways. I learned if I was open to success and allowed myself to win, I could! My friends – I sure hope you find some inspiration this week! Remember – you are designed to live your very best life!

I hope you find inspiration!
