What if everything you ever wanted was waiting on the other side of an invitation??

Why the art of waiting is so important for projectors.

The person who said “Good things come to those that wait” MUST have really understood what it was like to be a projector and found blessings in the waiting. Despite the fact you can find ten other quotes that have been modified to say the opposite, for the projector, the magic is in the waiting. Waiting for the right timing, waiting for the right audience and most important, waiting for the right invitation.

Waiting doesn’t mean you are lazy……

The world tells us waiting is lazy and wrong. Just do a quick google search of the quote “Good things come to those that wait” to reveal an unending supply of quotes that say the opposite. In fact, if you choose to wait, you may end up feeling guilty or judged by the world around you. I promise you – I have been down this road, not everyone is designed to JUST DO IT!

When hustle and hard work leave you stranded

I have spent my entire life with the mantra – Good Things come to those who work the hardest. At the end of the day, I am no further down the road from where I started. Instead of being at the top, I am exhausted, biter and confused. I allowed the world to tell me that I was the same as everyone else and if I would just work harder, I would find success. Now I realize that I find success on the other side of waiting. Instead of taking the approach “Just do it”, I am finding beauty in “Good things come to those that wait”.

Hard work is important, but it is waiting for the right opportunity to put in the hard work and effort that makes such a difference. If you are working hard on the “wrong project” you are just wasting time and energy…..

The best opportunities in my life came with an invitation

Looking back on all of my decisions and the great moments of joy in my life, they always came with the RIGHT invitation. I can’t find one single instance that ended in success that I initiated. I actually TRIED to disprove the theory in my own frustration thinking that it couldn’t possibly be the way that I would have to live my life – I am a doer, not a waiter. However, no matter how hard I tried, I could only find the success in my experiences that were preceded with an invitation.

waiting

As I look back on several defining moments in my life, I can easily find the invitation in the ones that moved me forward. The experiences that really changed me, like being drug kicking and screaming to youth camp in 2016 came with a very specific invitation recognizing me and my gifts. That experience is one that I can look back on and realize changed me the most in the last decade along with the invitation to leave my long term corporate job.

Just do it – NO, Just DON’T

On the other hand, I can look back on all of those moments that I tried to “Just do it” and recall the struggle, frustration, bitterness and failure that waited for me. The good news, I can learn from all of those experiences and use them to really change my narrative. The better news, Human Design has taught me that as a projector, it was imperative for me to learn to find joy in the wait and trust that an amazing journey would follow the right invitation.

Waiting is a theme for my design

As I have studied my Human Design, I have been able to really hone in on the themes in my chart. Ironically, these are all things that have been a great struggle for me my life.

  • Waiting for the right time to start something (Invitation)
  • Waiting for the right time to speak (Invitation)
  • Being Authentic
  • Allowing my life to flow
  • Allowing failures, changes and disruptions in my life create passion in me and others

Not everything is about the hustle

My sweet friend – NOT everyone is designed to hustle hard and make things work. I am NOT saying that hard work is a bad thing, I still believe it is important, but it is about working hard on the RIGHT THING not EVERYTHING!

If you are a generator, you can respond, work hard and find satisfaction. If you are a manifestor, you can initiate and find peace. For my rare reflector friends, you must wait on that lunar cycle.

But, if you are a projector, you MUST wait for the right invitation to find success. No amount of force or struggle will clear your path like the right invitation. Grab your chart and find out if the magic is the waiting! I’d love to chat! Remember – YOU are designed to fetch your very best life – LIVE your design – LOVE your life – Fetch your BEST life!
